We are guides of local nature, specialists in ornithologist tourism and ecotourism. We offer guided trips every weekend and with booking and for little groups to assure the good watchings and avoiding bothering birds.
We carry you to the lesser known places in order to show you the most amazing species of Arcos’ surroundings, guaranteeing you a bare minimum of 12 different birds in 4-hour sessions.
We’ll show you too the birds from the Natural Reservoirs of Northern Cádiz Countryside and the Natural Reservoir of Grazalema and Alcornocales. All of this at a steady pace, enjoying not only the colours and the birds’ singings, landscapes and personal attention.
In our trips, we can show you not only the flora, but if you want to, we can show you wine museums and wine warehouses and the main monuments of Arcos de la Frontera and the mountain range of Cádiz.
We change our activities to match every person, that’s why we are family-friendly, regardless of how many children.
We prepare trips to ornithologists clubs, associations, travel agencies and tour operators, in which we can include accommodations, picnics or restaurants.
We also offer a service of Guide of interpretation of Natural and Cultural Patrimony, showing the natural resources and the popular knowing that Human used to use, just like organizing tours with visits to ethnologic museums of Sierra de Cadiz.
Where are we?
We are located in arcos de la frontera. A monumental national tourist town. It is a peaceful town with 27.948 habitants. Currently, the rock, is recently declared the figure of protection “Natural Monument”. It is considered as one of the most beautiful villages of Spain. It is located northwest of the province of Cadiz in southern Spain with narrow and cobbled streets on a hill where mankind has refined the art of living over thousands of years. It is situated on the eastern bank of the Guadalete River, which flows to the bay of Cadiz. The town commands a fine vista from the top of a sandtone rifge, from which the peak of San Cristobal and the guadalete valley can be seen. The town gained its name by being the frontier of Spain’s 13th century battle with the moors.
Arcos is the door to the route of the white villages. It separates the countryside from the mountains of Cadiz. It has got mediterranean weather with mild temperature most of the year and 300 days of sun a year.
We are 30 minutes driving from Jerez airport, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Seville airport, 45 minutes from Cadiz city and 1 hour from Ronda.
First prehistoric and roman civilization left their historical remains at the mountains “sierra aznar”. Now, these days, we find this town with footprints from the muslim culture. interesting historical monuments like; castle of the dukes (xv century), matrera door (xi-xiv century), remains of the old arcos wall, palaces and manor houses, basilica of Santa Maria, st. peter’s church, also chapels and convents from this beatiful town.
We will start to explore the charm of the natural environment around it, such as landscapes, protected areas and close to their most dramatic details such as the variety of birds and botany.
